What HireVue Analyses
HireVue is an assessment suite — different formats analyse different things:
- Recorded one-way video — you answer prompts to camera; responses are recorded and reviewed (and historically scored by AI)
- Game-based assessments — short cognitive games measuring reaction and decision patterns
- Coding assessments — a code editor with tab-switch and paste logging
- Webcam recording — during video and some coding rounds
- Screen capture — on proctored coding rounds
Why Alt-Tab and Browser Extensions Fail on HireVue
On a one-way video, glancing off-screen at notes is visible on camera, and reading a scripted answer sounds robotic. On the coding round, alt-tabbing and pasting hit the usual logs. UFOlee handles each: on video, an on-screen overlay keeps a bullet prompt in your eyeline so you speak naturally in your own words; on coding, it stays off focus and auto-types the solution.
How UFOlee Works with HireVue
Use UFOlee differently per HireVue format — a speaking prompt on video, an auto-typer on coding:
- Launch UFOlee and log into your preferred AI (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) before starting the test
- Open your HireVue assessment — UFOlee runs invisibly in the background
- Press Ctrl+Shift+S to reveal UFOlee's stealth browser overlay on top of HireVue
- Press Ctrl+Shift+A to screenshot the question and automatically attach it to your AI chat
- Read the AI-generated solution, then highlight the answer or code you need
- Press Ctrl+Shift+F — UFOlee auto-types it into HireVue using native hardware keystrokes
- Press Ctrl+Shift+S to hide UFOlee and review your work
